Golden Gecko Villa - stay here!

Great value in Siem Reap in a walkable neighbourhood. Lots of great bars and restaurants and even a local brew pub with really great beer on tap (they even have growlers)! Keith and Paul the owners are super nice, and me Wells who runs the place is amazing! Very knowledgeable and can help arrange tuktuks and tours of Angkor Wat at reasonable rates.

Merlot and JD their dogs like to hang out especially when the smell of bacon is in the air!

The pool is small and refreshing! Just what you need, with a bar that serves snacks til 3pm.  Real fast is included in the room rate and includes fruit, yogurt, cereal and a toast baguette or croissant with egg, cheese and for the omnivores bacon.

Lovely place to stay, with real geckos hanging off of the walls all over the place! We had a huge guy in our room last night! Eat those bugs I say and stay with us!! We have learned that geckos make god awful noises when they are angry or scared! Freaked Dev right out! Lol! 

Highly recommend this Keith and Paul seem to know everyone in town. It’s such a small world! I ended up meeting someone from Apopo about fundraising at their cafe downtown near pub street and he ended up coming back to the Golden Gecko with me in a tuk tukas he was already arranging drinks with these guys! So funny! 

Love this city! I would defiantly return! Enjoyed it way more then Vietman. Only down fall was seeing the idiot tourist riding elephants around Angkor Wat - that needs to stop. Stupid humans.
