Nahm Dong Park - holy heck of a zip line
Our friend Dean would have lost his marbles! We visited Nahm Dong Park which is about a 20 minute walk from our resort. The place is gorgeous!! Of course we get there just after breakfast and find out they do not take credit cards and we had no cash. I ran back to the hotel to see if they’d lend us cash against our bill. Of course I get back and the super nice gentlemen who works here says “sure, they can also just charge us directly - but since you’re back might as well give you some cash!”
I run back dripping sweat because now the clouds have lifted and the sun is beating down. We got the tree top reeking and zip line deal. Over -.5 hours of thrills! It was crazy!
The harnesses are nice and new which is great because I was terrified! It was awesome! The tree top trek takes you over gorges and waterfalls and each leg is different. There’s a zigzagging walkway that moves as you step on it and it’s super high up. Dear god it was terrifying. I got the the first zip line and wanted to turn around but I didn’t want to go back over it!
The first zip line was tiny yet I was terrified. Once complete it was amazing! After the trek the two guides take you to the really long and amazing zip lines! Totally recommend this place even for a day trip from Luang Prabang!!
There are 6 long zip lines through the jungle! Sometimes you can even see monkeys but they are very shy. It’s gorgeous! And we were the only people doing it! Dev and Keenan absolutely loved it! Dev was hands free immediately and just in heaven! It was amazing! The entrance fee and all the adventure cost $20us each and was well worth it! I had done a wicked zip line just outside of Vegas and this one was way longer and such incredible views! I got slapped by a branch on the last one - kids were laughing cause I screamed! The jungle was attacking it was insane! So glad I did it but dear god it was terrifying!!!!
