Hike to the top of the mountain

Hiked to the top of the mountain we are staying on, and we’re rewarded with a stunning view of Luang Prabang from above. It’s lovely resort that has become much quieter now that some
Of the kids have left (I miss them it was way more interesting with the fun of the kids and other adults to talk too!).

We hiked up to the top on a self guided trek, there are a few treks you can do off of the grounds of the Hillside Resort we are at. It was a hot, buggy climb even at 4:30pmbut worth the stunning views. It loops back down to the road and you come out of a neighbours property. They ask for 5000kip to Cross which is fair. A young lady and her brothers ran out of their house to collect the family fee. We heard their mother yell at them from down the road to make sure they got the fee. Our friends from
Paris did the same hike after us. Luck for them we cleared the spider webs with our faces! Lol
We had a couple of last games with them of King of Tokoyo which was very fun! Not sure if I mentioned it already but the father Nicholas bought the French version online yesterday as they enjoyed it so much! They are also a family that loves board games!

We got an amazing thunderstorm last night! First rain since our arrival.
