Farmers market and inmates
Mark and I had a kid free day (yahoo!) as Auntie Diane took the boys to the insect zoo, and poopoo elephant paper (they made paper from yep - elephant Pooh!). Mark and I walked about 1.5 km to the JJ Market where mostly locals go on the weekend to buy from the farmers and artisans. It was great! I bought a silver ring, and we ate some more delicious street food and coffee! I had a latte, coconut pancakes (like the ones in Cambodia but stuffed with corn, taro, pumpkin and some other weird veg), we split croquettes made with mashed potato and full of melts delicious cheese. They topped them with a chilli thousand islands dressing and flakes of sea weed - so yummy! As we left I got a frozen yogurt twist with butterfly pea and vanilla yogurt. The cones come with a price of honey comb, and are drizzled with honey and bee pollen for a sprinkle like crunch. Amazing!!!
We then took a red truck (like a pickup truck tuktuk to the downtown where we went to search for our first Thai massage! We couldn’t find the place our hotel recommended so we went to Lila’s Thai Massage - for inmate training! It was not like the relaxing massages of home!
