Butterfly face plant
It was a glorious morning to swim in the tropical weather of Krong Siem Reap, Cambodia. Keenan and I were delighted to be swimming and hanging out in the pool. I thought it would be great to show him how to do the wonderful butterfly stroke (which I truly find an amazing stroke if you do it right). So, I did it right into the end of the pool face first! Gave myself a bloody nose from the inside and outside! Pretty awesome having the start of two black eyes for my first day here! Yassssss.
As a side note: I was completely sober, and hadn’t had any drinks in days since being really sick. First day back with energy! Too much energy apparently.
Update:
Two days later and I’m pretty sure I broke my nose. Double black eyes - looking pretty special! You should see the looks they give Mark, especially after they offer him a massage and then they see my face. The offers stop pretty quick! Lol
Note to self: keep eyes open in pool, and think of a better story to explain these shiners! Even the street vendors are pointing at my eyes and making sad faces. At least people are sympathetic. Only me!
